needed a classic staple and ended up with this lovely dusty pink sage tee. i love sewing knit t-shirts because it’s so simple and the construction amazes me every time – sleeves are fascinating. i had some nice cotton knit lying around in my stash from an old trip to stonemountain & daughter fabrics (the same trip i keep referencing), and i finally had the guts to cut into it. to make this shirt extra professional, i dug out my machine’s manual book and learned how to use a twin needle. it was a smashing success! not quite sure what i was so afraid of in the past… and glad i actually hemmed this shirt, instead of leaving it raw. i used to pretend the raw edge was part of the style, but now you know it was because i didn’t know how to use my twin needle 😉

i love the fit of this elbe textiles sage tee pattern (and it’s free!). i sewed a size A, no modifications except shortening the length about 6 inches. super relaxed, roomy fit – and a good basic block to use for other projects like my puff sleeve blouse. had some leftover fabric so i made a matching scrunchie too!
